About

The Richard Ehrlich Family Foundation (REFF) is a California-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Malibu, California.

REFF was founded by Richard Ehrlich as the 100 Medical Plaza Urological Research Foundation. In 2006, the organization was renamed to the Richard Ehrlich Family Foundation, alongside an expanded scope.

Over the past decade, REFF has supported a wide range of programs related to the photographic arts, art appreciation, and the immense potential cultural and artistic projects hold to foster broader appreciation of our world and our individual and shared experiences. REFF’s projects have encompassed celebrations of photographic luminaries, photographic projects to highlight new perspectives, and a wide range of lectures and fundraising events centered around the arts and art appreciation.

REFF continues to seek, support, and develop projects to foster a broader appreciation of the arts, the sciences, and humanity.

Richard Ehrlich

About

Richard Ehrlich is a surgeon and a fine art photographer.

Born in New York City, Richard Ehrlich obtained his medical degree from Cornell University in Medical College, followed by residencies at the New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Between 1969 and 1971, Richard served as a Major in the United States Air Force.

Richard has held teaching positions alongside surgical practice at the University of California, Los Angeles since 1971. Serving as former President of both the Society for Pediatric Urology and the American Academy of Pediatrics Urology Section, Richard Ehrlich has written two textbooks on urological surgical practice and completed thousands of operations over a decades-long career. Richard was one of the founding members of the University of California, Los Angeles Department of Urology.

As a fine art photographer, his work is held in the permanent collections of more than a dozen museums and galleries including the J. Paul Getty Museum, Smithsonian National Museum of American History, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Family

The Richard Ehrlich Family Foundation advances the charitable and philanthropic interests of the Ehrlich Family.

Irit Ehrlich is a fashion and jewelry designer, and the founder and operator of Los Angeles-based Irit Design. Her clients have included Halle Berry, Michelle Obama, Barbara Streisand, Ariana Grande, and other leading names.

Cristina Ehrlich is one of America’s leading stylists, ranked among the 25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood by the Hollywood Reporter six times, and named “Celebrity Stylist of the Year” at New York Fashion Week in 2012. Her clients have included Penelope Cruz, Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, Brie Larson, and others.

Richard Ehrlich, Jr. is among Los Angeles’s most prominent and effective real estate salespeople for more than two decades. Richard has overseen hundreds of millions of dollars in sales ranging from Hollywood Hills to Malibu. He lives in Brentwood with his wife, lifestyle guru and entrepreneur Jenni Kayne.
